LIGHT SPEED - THE STORY
This film takes you on a journey, traveling at the speed of light through various scenes, transcending into different experiences and emotions as a form of escapism. The transitions between scenes will be seamless and smooth, avoiding any abrupt cuts that disrupt the flow. While it might be challenging to perceive this in an animatic, where static images are used, in reality, the fast-moving images will blend smoothly.
The film opens in a theater, with the camera positioned above our hero who is comfortably seated. As he pops a popcorn into his mouth, the camera swiftly flies at the speed of light into the popcorn itself. The interior of the popcorn absorbs the light from the cinema projector, and this color palette seamlessly transitions into the next scene, a vibrant dance battle. The camera pierces through the dancers, revealing our hero, who appears happily surprised to find himself in this new setting.
As we transition from the dance battle scene, our focus shifts to the competing girl, a character who will play a crucial role in the film. Her sunglasses reflect the surrounding lights of the festive dance battle scene, and the camera follows the reflections, entering the scene they reveal: a thrilling car chase. With a matching forward camera movement, we are instantly immersed in the heart of the chase.
Towards the end of this car chase scene, our attention returns to the girl, who is now an active participant in the chase. With a rapid camera movement, as if our hero gains speed and triumphs, the image blurs and smoothly fades into another blur—a fast camera move that takes us to the next scene. Here, we discover the same girl, now being pursued by our hero. This visual connection clarifies that it is indeed the same girl, ultimately leading us to the theater once again.
These techniques, commonly employed in modern commercials, work seamlessly, aligning with our concept of the speed of light. They are fast-paced and effectively convey the narrative, ensuring a captivating and fluid viewing experience.
